Clara's Kit

My favorite sort of gift, is the sort that truly is a gift, and totally unexpected.
I tend to forget to send birthday and Christmas and other holiday gifts.
I often send birthday presents a month after the actual date.
This gift is for a small person, my cousin, whom I haven't met, but have heard of,
she is quite imaginative and fanciful, and I created this kit with the idea of supplying interesting pretty things that are made for creating and crafting...

1. start with a hinged wood box...

2. paper the inside of the box with this super-cool adhesive fabric!

3. Add some bright modelling clay...

4. add a miniature wooden rolling pin for rolling clay...

5. Glitter!

  2. I think its really sweet you made a fun kit for a cousin you have not met. Some of my favorite posts are when you make kits and packages.

  3. wooow! me as a kid would have LOVED that, and I love how you wrapped and wrapped it in all different kinds of twine and ribbon, because isn't unwrapping half the fun of getting a present?

Also where did that adhesive backed fabric come from??
