The most beautiful package I received was for Christmas this year. My boyfriend bought me a new camera and tried to trick me by placing it in a bigger box and then wrapping that box and so on the boxes went. There were 4 boxes in total and he wrapped each box individually with a different wrapping paper. It was so cute and thoughtful and lets face it not many men have the patience to 'wrap'. :) Simple, fun and memorable.

I received a package of some beautiful things I ordered from JulieCollings.etsy.com, and the package itself was as pretty as what it contained: a scalloped oval cut from vintage wallpaper in gold and moss green served as a seal for a sheet of green and brown ledger paper which wrapped up my bundle of goodies, tied together with brown-and-white baker's twine. What a difference pretty packaging can make!

And I'm never disappointed-- I adore seeing how each seller makes their product unique to their shop and the creative little touches included to make the package beautiful.
ReplyDeleteOh! another favorite package: shortly after my youngest daughter was born I received an amazing hand-made blanket and onesie with embroidery from a dear bloggy friend. A total and complete surprise... and really, isn't that the best kind of a package? :)

OHHHHH my goodness!! What an amazing giveaway. I love stationary!
ReplyDeletei think the best package I have ever received was for my 18th birthday, my mum had saved the newspaper from the day I was born, and had photocopied it to make the wrapping paper for an amazing scrapbook she had made me of my first 18 years. At first I thought it was just newspaper so was a little bummed, when i realised the significance of it i was so excited!!

One time an old boyfriend sent me a balloon in a box. It was perfect.
ReplyDeleteOooh, this is fun!
ReplyDeleteThe best package...it wasn't a pretty package but my first care package from home my freshman year in college would have to be my very best package ever received. I was so homesick and my Mom sent me my favorite things. She's a great mom!

ReplyDeleteThe nicest package I received was from Kylie Parry Studios. http://www.etsy.com/shop/kylieparry
ReplyDeleteKylie packaged my necklace in a simple brown box tied with twine and little circular tag with her name on it. Inside the box my necklace was nestled among a cushion of shredded paper maps. So cool!
Just found your blog and will become a follower. I just received a package with beautiful paintings that I purchased for a bedroom.
ReplyDelete1. Honestly in my short twenty years of life, I have yet to receive a 'pretty package'. I've received plenty of brown cardboard boxes, complete with clear packing tape, but nothing out of the ordinary. However, I still look forward to cards from my Grandma Carol. She still decorates the paper Hallmark envelope with stickers of cats or glittery flowers that still manage to bring a smile to my face.
ReplyDelete3. Just became a follower, and quite looking forward to doing some serious inspirational 'blog stalking'. : ]
ReplyDeletei tumbled about your little gem of a blog

i also have every intention of including it in my next 'full-length' blog post http://elizabethannehild.blogspot.com/
A recent beautiful package I have received was fairly simple - it was homemade through and through. Handwritten notes, drawings on the package - simple, inexpensive and lovely!
ReplyDeleteKarla (khardersen@sbcglobal.net)
a beautiful pkg that stands out in my mind is a big box of goodies and comfort foods from Mom when I was studying overseas...not particularly "lovely" in its appearance, but rather smudged and dented from the long journey across the ocean. It was beautiful to me because it was full of love, thoughtfulness, and notes that made me laugh so hard I cried :)
